LevittownLevittown was a housing development project created in the 1950 by William Levitt. The original goal for the housing development was to provide a nice small town for returning veterans and there families. However Levittown also an outlet for white flight.

The Perfect SocietyThe 1950's were often looked at as the stereotypical perfect society. The times were similar to that of the rolling 20's with a strong economy and everyone returning from war. This explains the expansion to the outside of large cities and settling in new housing developments.

Cars during the 50'sNew homes and families were not the only things that were new for the 1950's car owner ship sky rocketed to all time highs with people all over the world owning them and becoming an average everyday part of life.

Other conflicts of the 1950's
The 1950's also posed a large issue for women as they were forced to leave there jobs and become house wives to allow for men who were returning from the war to become full time workers once again this caused women to have to follow a constant routine day after day.
